Darren Broome, 49, already has dozens of previous convictions for more than 100 offences dating back to 1996.
Broome, who is in HMP Norwich, appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court charged with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, and the attempted burglary of a neighbouring property.
District Judge Matthew Bone said his previous offences meant his case could only be heard at Norwich Crown Court with a plea hearing set for September 8.
Broome was recalled to prison to serve the remainder of a four-year sentence imposed in 2023 for burglary, going equipped for burglary, attempted burglary, and fraud.
He also asked for 32 other offences, including 15 domestic burglaries and 11 thefts from motor vehicles, to be taken into consideration.
