Forecast models show the disturbance reaching the northeastern Caribbean, including St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Martin and St. Barts, by Monday, potentially delivering rainfall to areas that have been unusually dry. The American, Canadian and Icon forecast models show the disturbance becoming a tropical depression, while the European model keeps it as an unclassified tropical disturbance. The disturbance is simply an area to watch rather than an immediate threat. Forecasters said the dry air layer is a key factor limiting rapid intensification of tropical systems moving through the basin this week.
