What in the world was Warner Bros thinking? In 2023 the studio canceled, shelved and ditched the finished animated/live action hybrid feature Coyote vs. Acme in favor of a tax writeoff rather than releasing the movie in theaters, or even streaming. It followed the 2022 shelving of its $90 million Batgirl movie, which remains buried, and definitely wasn’t encouraging (and to the creators and everyone who worked so hard on Coyote vs. Acme, no matter what the ultimate quality.
