Last night, we were treated to the surprise shadow drop of Lord of the Rings: War in the North - Legacy Edition on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (along with other modern platforms) courtesy of Aspyr, and we've now also got some first footage of how it's running on both of these consoles. On Xbox Series X, Lord of the Rings: War in the North - Legacy Edition runs at 4K, 60FPS and looks pretty nice for such an old game that hasn't been fully remastered, and the crucial thing is that it runs at a seemingly locked 60FPS. On Xbox Series S, we're looking at a 1440p resolution that only appears slightly downgraded compared to its Series X counterpart, and once again there's no sign of the action dropping below 60FPS in initial footage. It seems those issues are starting to be fixed for the most part now, but just keep in mind that you may have a few teething issues with the online portion at launch. Otherwise, this seems a pretty great re-release at a reasonable price!
