Jason Douglas breaks down Beerus’ role in new Dragon Ball Super animeDuring a recent panel discussion led by Collider‘s Maggie Lovitt at Big Lick Comic Con in Roanoke, Virginia, Jason Douglas, who provides the voice for the all-powerful character in the English dub, noted that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will not only show the purple deity’s humorous nature but will also highlight his destructive tendencies. “I think when we did Dragon Ball Super, it began to take on a little more whimsical character, but I always felt like that core guy, that dangerous entity, was still there and still present,” Douglas said. Produced by Toei Animation, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is the third animated rendition of the God of Destruction Beerus Saga and will provide a new take on Beerus’ journey after he awakens from his long slumber and decides to pursue Earth.
