Norwegian design firm Snøhetta is playing a key role in transforming Kota Kinabalu’s historic port into a modern hub for business and tourism through the ambitious Jesselton Docklands project.
The 35-acre seafront development is a collaboration between Malaysia’s Suria Capital Holdings Berhad and Bedi Development.
Bedi Development Director Kong Chung Vui described the project as a “legacy for future generations,” highlighting its commitment to ecological sustainability and people-centric urban planning under Bedi’s Borneo initiative.
Expected to create jobs and attract investments, Jesselton Docklands aligns with the Sabah Maju Jaya development blueprint.
Phase One, called Bedrock, is on track for completion in 2025.
