The development came a day after Fadahunsi denied inciting violence over the video, saying his statement had been deliberately taken out of context. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the senator explained that his use of the word kill referred to defeating political opponents through votes. Fadahunsi said he does not preach violence and maintained that he was addressing the political contest rather than calling for physical attacks. Channels Television reported that Adeleke requested that Fadahunsi be investigated over the viral video.
