Citizens across Pakistan can now obtain and renew identity cards within minutes, as the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has begun deploying self-service kiosks designed to eliminate long queues at its centers.
The ATM-style machines allow users to apply for new identity cards, process renewals, and obtain Family Registration Certificates without standing in line or waiting for a counter representative.
The kiosks mark a shift toward automated, walk-in service delivery at NADRA facilities nationwide.
Users verify their identity at the terminal, select the desired service from an on-screen menu, and follow prompts that guide them through completion of the process.
NADRA spokesperson Syed Shabahat Ali said 65 to 70 percent of citizens visiting its centers can now have their needs met entirely through the self-service kiosks, significantly reducing congestion at traditional counters.
