A spokesperson for the pub said: "To our family, the staff and the pub industry - this inspires us. Staff also thanked The Telegraph for featuring them in its 2026 Best Pubs in the UK guide. In the review, it was described as an 'atmospheric East Riding local' with one reviewer saying the following: "One of The Goodmanham Arms’ regulars is standing at the bar, unusually well-attired. In East Yorkshire, The White Horse Inn in Beverley, The Old Ship Inn in Bridlington, and The Old Star in Kilham also made the cut.
