The End of Oak Street is essentially the movie that asks, “What if dinosaurs suddenly invaded a suburban neighborhood?” At its best, The End of Oak Street feels like a modern throwback to the Amblin movies of the 1980s and 1990s. The End of Oak Street essentially takes that idea and asks what would happen if it lasted for an entire movie. In many ways, The End of Oak Street is the dinosaur movie that the recent Jurassic World films should have been.
