Princess Goes is stretching its boundaries on 3, the New York trio’s third full-length album, due Oct. 31. The band — actor Michael C. Hall, Matt Katz-Bohen and Peter Yanowitz — announced the record alongside “French Kiss,” a six-and-a-half-minute dance-floor slow-burn that eventually opens into a cinematic finale. The new album follows 2023’s Come & Make It Last and 2021’s Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum, continuing a strange, stylish musical partnership that began when the three met performing in Hedwig & the Angry Inch on Broadway. “I think the three of us recognize the unique alchemy that exists among us,” he tells SPIN. The evolution is particularly apparent in “French Kiss,” which Hall says developed gradually, both musically and lyrically, over multiple iterations.
