Bangor Homeless Man Subject to 17 Sets of Bail Conditions Assaults Ambulance EMS Worker

The Bangor Police Department arrested a homeless man on Tuesday after he allegedly attacked an emergency medical service worker while being transported in an ambulance.
[RELATED: Bangor Man Arrested Following MDEA Cocaine Bust…]At approximately 4:49 p.m. on Monday, the Bangor Police and emergency medical services responded to 245 Main Street, Davenport Park, for reports of an incident.
As part of the response to that incident—the nature of which police did not reveal—an ambulance transported Perry Newell, 36, homeless.
While he was being transported, Newell allegedly kicked an emergency responder in the head, causing a minor head injury.
He was charged with assault on an emergency medical services person and 17 counts of violating conditions of release.
