Severn Trent closed St John's road yesterday (August 11) with 'no warning', and the road will be closed for at least two weeks due to complex repairs.
Steve, a resident from St John's who refused to provide his surname, said: "It was chaos yesterday (August 11).
"They closed the road at the end, but they didn't close off the left-turn lane coming from the traffic lights.
Traffic was still turning into St John's Road from Bromyard Road this morning (August 12) despite signs saying 'Road Closed', with several cars caught on video needing to turn around.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We are carrying out urgent repairs on a collapsed sewer in St John's road, which has required an emergency road closure to keep our crews and members of the public safe.
