Critical Hit, which also has stores in Derby and Matlock Bath, says it hopes its recent opening will give people a reason to visit the high street. In years long gone, the street was one of Nottingham's busiest shopping areas and boasted loads of great stores. But in recent years, Lister Gate and the nearby Broad Marsh area have cast a grey shadow on the city centre, with the majority of units sitting empty and unoccupied.
