The Romany Ancestry Day is about bringing the community together and will offer an opportunity for people to learn more about their Traveller and Romany heritage. The Atchin Tan project, funded by the Arts Council, has facilitated the day in conjunction with Hayley Price, The Circle of Hope, and the Romany & Traveller Family History Society. The Ancestry Day is open to everyone with Ms Price hoping it will help people connect to distant family and "fill in the gaps". "It will be an opportunity for people to find out who is who and fill in the gaps in their family ancestry. There are so many people who don't realise they have Romany heritage."
