The Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH moon is unlikely to be sighted on Thursday evening, according to SUPARCO’s latest astronomical forecast. The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission said the astronomical new moon is expected to form at 10:37pm on August 12. Meanwhile, astronomical calculations suggest that the Rabi-ul-Awwal moon could become visible on August 14. If the moon is sighted that evening, the first day of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH would fall on Saturday, August 15. Until then, August 15 remains the expected date for the beginning of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH.
