Healthy workers are less likely to miss work because of illness and are able to perform their duties effectively. Secondly, the healthcare sector itself contributes directly to the economy. In conclusion, health is a key driver of Namibia’s GDP because it improves worker productivity, creates employment in the healthcare sector, attracts investment, reduces healthcare costs, and strengthens human capital.
