A fatal road accident on the Accra–Kumasi Highway at Asubuo has claimed one life and left five others injured, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reported. [GNFS]According to a statement from the GNFS Eastern Region Public Relations Office, the crash occurred on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, and involved a Kia Rhino and a MAN Diesel truck. Firefighters from the Suhum Municipal Fire Station were dispatched to the scene after reports that a person was trapped in the Kia Rhino. Both the Kia Rhino and the MAN Diesel truck sustained extensive damage. The GNFS has urged motorists to exercise caution on the Accra–Kumasi Highway, especially as traffic volumes remain high.
