The cafeteria, kitchen, and gymnasium at Tazewell High School are out of commission and Superintendent Chris Stacy says they both could be vacant until the winter semester. Delays in a foundation wall stabilization project for the complex have resulted in meals being prepared at the middle school then shipped to Tazewell High. Breakfast grab-and-go bags will also be made available to students, according to the school official. The school system has also instituted a new clear bag policy for backpacks and lunch boxes with daily checks from administrators to make sure students are in compliance. Classes begin in Tazewell County on Monday.
