The Port of Nigg on the Cromarty Firth will create 180 jobs across the Scottish Highlands to support the deliver of the 3.6GW Dogger Bank offshore wind farm. The £9bn Dogger Bank offshore wind farm is being developed as part of joint venture between SSE (40%), Equinor (40%) and Vårgrønn (20%). Across its four phases, it is set to be the largest single offshore wind farm in the world. Turbine installation is ongoing at Dogger Bank B following the completion of the phase A turbine campaign earlier this year. The Port of Nigg is operated by Maraen, which announced a £30m investment in its facility at the Port of Nigg.
