MP Tapir Gao Appeals To TMPK To Lift Assam-Arunachal Border Blockade, Calls For Dialogue

Saraswati Gao, NET Correspondent, Arunachal PradeshTapir Gao, MP, East Arunachal, on Wednesday appealed to the Takam Mising Porin Kébang (TMPK) to call off its indefinite economic blockade along the Assam–Arunachal Pradesh border.
A TMPK delegation led by President Tilak Doley called on the MP at his residence in Delhi regarding the incident in Hime village, Kangku Circle.
MP Tapir Gao urged the TMPK team to resolve the matter amicably through dialogue in the interest of peace and harmony between the communities of both states.
The MP said he was glad to meet Vice-President Pongkil Patir, Secretary Ajay Mili, and Joint Secretaries Migom Doley, Budhin Doley and Monideep Pegu.
The economic blockade was imposed by TMPK following recent incidents along the border, and has disrupted movement of essential supplies and commuters into Arunachal Pradesh.
