By Olajide IdowuThe Police Command in Osun has arrested four suspects over alleged attempted murder and possession of firearms in Modakeke, Ife East Local Government Area of the state. Ojelabi said the suspects were arrested over alleged conspiracy, attempted murder, assault occasioning harm, and unlawful possession of prohibited firearms. “The arrest followed a petition written and addressed to the Commissioner of Police concerning the alleged offences,” he said. “One cut-to-size locally made firearm was recovered from the shop of one of the female suspect while one pump-action firearm was recovered from the residence of the other female suspect,” he said. In another development, Ojelabi said operatives of the Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) of the command arrested six suspected members of an unlawful society in Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.
