Marvin Lee Barrett, 56 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found trafficking drugs near East Central Elementary School. Reports said that a search on Archer Street resulted in officers finding a total of 76 grams of cocaine, 820 grams of marijuana, packaging materials, and digital scales. Barrett is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana, drug trafficking, and possession of drugs within 1000 feet of schools.
