DMV: Albany driving school owner faces 11 charges for illegal operation

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – An Albany driving school owner is facing criminal charges after New York officials said he kept operating without a license.
According to the DMV, Lanza allegedly kept running the school and worked as an unlicensed instructor.
In Albany City Criminal Court, he faces three counts of operating an unlicensed driving school and two counts of operating as an unlicensed driving instructor, and he must return at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19.
In Bethlehem Town Justice Court, the DMV said he faces three counts of operating an unlicensed driving school and three counts of operating as an unlicensed driving instructor.
The DMV said any driving instruction or pre-licensing course certificate from an unlicensed school cannot be accepted by DMV.
