The force confirmed it is not involved in any investigation surrounding the incident in June.
The cull of 51 cattle has caused a lot of concern and questions were raised about what happened to the firearms used in the aftermath during a committee meeting on Monday.
But the PSNI have confirmed to The Impartial Reporter that they are not involved in any investigation and the firearms have not been seized.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “The Police Service of Northern Ireland are not involved in an active investigation in relation to this operation which was undertaken by DAERA, and as such no firearms have been seized by our officers."
