Zambia heads to the polls on Thursday, with president Hakainde Hichilema urging voters in Mandevu, Lusaka province, to back the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND).
Addressing supporters in Mandevu on Wednesday, Hichilema thanked residents for attending the party’s meeting and pledged to continue delivering development if re-elected.
“We will continue working on ensuring that more roads, more schools, more clinics, more social cash transfers, among others, continue trickling down to Mandevu,” he said.
Hichilema urged voters to turn out on Thursday and vote for the UPND, saying his administration remains committed to improving the lives of Zambians.
The president ended his message by thanking the people of Mandevu and calling for their support at the polls.
