October would be the preferred month for the concert to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, since Stacy would be celebrating her fifth-year cancer free. The initial one-day celebration turned into a four-day awareness event that spanned from Huntington, West Virginia to Ashland, Kentucky to Charleston, West Virginia to Burlington and The Cause was born. In the months following its inception, The Cause assisted several individuals with resource assistance with the help of several foundations and organizations. The 15th anniversary celebration will take place 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Burlington, 7475 County Road 1, Burlington with various providers offering free health screenings, and resource information.
