United Airlines has secured financing worth $390 million from British multinational bank Standard Chartered for four Airbus A321neo and five Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. On August 11, 2026, Standard Chartered announced in a statement that the arrangement would support United Airlines‘ “ongoing fleet optimization and fuel efficiency strategy”. United and Standard Chartered previously worked together in 2025 to arrange aircraft financing for the US operator. In October 2025, Standard Chartered announced that it had provided financing of five Airbus A321neo aircraft for United. The airline is also expecting delivery of 58 Boeing 737 MAX 9s and 165 737 MAX 10s.
