Anger as CalMac confirms months of major cuts to vital Gourock ferry service

He said: “This appears to have been done with very little consultation with community groups in either Dunoon or Gourock.
MV Ali Cat entered service between Gourock and Dunoon in 2002.
As revealed by the Telegraph in April, the Gourock to Dunoon ferry was cancelled for 'technical reasons' more often than any other CalMac service in the last five years.
“During these periods, an hourly service rather than a half-hourly service will operate between Dunoon and Gourock.
