['Seattle Times Breaking News Reporter']

The Perseids meteor shower will be at its peak Wednesday night, but you may have to take a bit of a drive to get the best view if you are in Seattle.
Perseids is regarded as the best meteor shower of the year, according to NASA.
But an astronomically poorly timed upper-level trough will bring some scattered clouds into Western Washington starting Wednesday night.
To make matters better, the meteor shower is also happening concurrently with a total solar eclipse that will track across Spain, Iceland and Greenland.
The upper-level trough will be east of Seattle by Thursday night, so there will likely be fewer clouds in our area, Guy said.
