Iran's rule continues amidst the division of domestic political organizations. President Masoud Pezeshkian's prior comment about difficulty meeting Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei sparked controversy, given Mojtaba's rare public appearances since assuming leadership in March. However, on Monday (10 August), official media confirmed the President recently met the Supreme Leader for up to eight hours. Pezeshkian corroborated this, stating they discussed improving the country's deteriorating standard of living and uniting fragmented political organizations. The Supreme Leader believes establishing unity in Iran is a major challenge.
