A number of cylinders have been removed from the scene of a major fire at an industrial estate on Ripple Road in Barking, as they pose an explosion risk when hot. A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "Firefighters are tackling a large fire impacting a two-storey building at an industrial estate. "A number of cylinders were removed from the scene and cooled to an ambient temperature as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat." A stretch of the A13 has been closed as a result, and residents are advised to avoid the area where possible.
