BAGLEY — Clearwater County voters have chosen two out of the four candidates in the race for sheriff to move forward, following Tuesday's primary election.
Candidate Adam Gunderson received 683, or 35.01% of the total votes cast, while Clarence LaCroix came in with 611, or 31.32%.
ADVERTISEMENTGunderson is a retired U.S. Army veteran who served 21 years in the Minnesota National Guard, including deployments to Bosnia and Iraq.
LaCroix is a U.S. Army National Guard veteran who deployed on active duty overseas and has 15 years of experience in local law enforcement with the Bagley Police Department and Clearwater County Sheriff's Office.
Gunderson and LaCroix will now face off in the Tuesday, Nov. 3, general election.
