A serious crash stopped traffic along Interstate 40 in Garner on Wednesday morning. Traffic in the westbound lanes was at a standstill near the interchange with U.S. 70 around 10 a.m. One lane was opened around 10:30 a.m.Other WRAL Top StoriesFootage from Sky 5 over the crash site showed an overturned mixer truck blocking the interstate. NCDOT cameras showed traffic was backed up for miles near the exit to the Triangle Expressway. Drivers were asked to use U.S. 70 East as a detour. WRAL News is working to learn more.
