This week, a driver captured several photos of fast food signage leading to Sonning, which is located three miles northeast of Reading. The signs were erected on the Henley Road roundabout on the A4155 and on a brick wall in Sonning High Street. The roundabout sign, stood upright in the centre, features a picture of a double patty beef burger accompanied by the McDonald's M the message, 'McDonald's Sonning mega restaurant opening soon!" A spokeswoman for the McDonald's UK Press Office confirmed the signs do not belong to McDonald's. They said: "This morning [August 12], I noticed McDonald's evil plan for the leafy hamlet of Sonning on Thames.
