Residents near Aperfield Road have been left wondering when the closure will be lifted, following the area being taped off since last Friday (August 7) at 1.33pm.
Pedestrians and traffic have been blocked from a certain section of the road as forensic work was reportedly underway to establish whether the remains are human.
Five days since first being established, the cordon still remains in place.
Tape has blocked off both ends of a road and forensic officers have been in the area.
A spokesperson for the force previously said: "An investigation is ongoing a crime scene remains in place pending further enquiries."
