The directives came during his early-morning surprise inspection of Union Council 121 in Shalimar Town, where he reviewed sanitation conditions, workers’ attendance and ongoing washing activities. Accompanied by the anti-littering squad, the LWMC chief also inspected cleanliness arrangements along Sehar Road and interacted with shopkeepers about sanitation measures. During the inspection, a sanitary worker was disengaged from duty over repeated absence and poor performance, while a suspension notification was also issued. Khan said a zero-tolerance policy would be adopted regarding sanitation standards across Lahore. He directed officers to remain present in the field, closely monitor sanitation operations and ensure 100 per cent attendance of sanitation workers.
