Gardai and the Revenue Customs Service conducted checkpoints in the Greencastle area on Monday 'to raise awareness and detect the importation of illegal drugs'. It is understood the checkpoints were conducted at Greencastle Pier and included vehicles coming off the ferry. A Garda spokesperson said the initiative is a joint effort with Revenue’s Customs Service and others.
