Turkish Air Force F-16 crashes near Yalova during training, pilot ejects

A Turkish Air Force F-16 fighter crashed during a training flight in the northwestern province of Yalova on August 12, 2026, with the pilot ejecting and surviving, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense said.
Turkish outlet Türkiye Today reported that the pilot was taken to Yalova Training and Research Hospital.
Air Force Academy students and candidates are in training at the Yalova site, and jets from Eskişehir or Bandırma periodically fly there to encourage the trainees.
