Previously, Indonesia had been subject to a reciprocal tariff of 18 percent. "At that time, the reciprocal tariff was set at 18 percent. "Indonesia received the 10 percent rate because we already have an Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) in place. Therefore, the rate currently is 10 percent as of July 24," Santoso added. The previous 18 percent reciprocal tariff set for Indonesia is no longer in effect and has been replaced by the new tariff provisions.Although the 10 percent tariff has been set, Santoso explained the Indonesian government is continuing to seek a lower rate, including the possibility of reducing it to zero percent.
