Wednesday, August 12, 2026 - The Office of the Fourth President has dismissed reports alleging that retired President Uhuru Kenyatta refused to meet Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. The doctored document claimed that Uhuru’s office had received multiple requests for an audience with Gachagua, which were allegedly declined. It further suggested that the former Head of State rejected the meeting because Gachagua did not align with his values of unity and national purpose. The false letter emerged barely a month after Gachagua publicly stated that he intended to consult Uhuru once he concluded his engagement forums in Wamunyoro. Uhuru Kenyatta is actively involved within the Azimio Coalition after Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka recently revealed that the coalition would hold a meeting to chart its path toward the next polls.
