GRAND FORKS — The Chamber-Grand Forks/East Grand Forks is partnering with a Fargo-based firm to support connections between regional employers and area students to enhance future workforce development. “We’re very excited about it, because we’re hopeful that this will get our students excited about a lot of the careers that are available here in Grand Forks,” Wilfahrt said, “and help them understand that there are a lot of fantastic jobs in Grand Forks and a lot of great opportunities right here in our community, Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.” The collaboration stretches beyond the two organizations by supporting wider workforce development efforts, including those driven by the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation. The Grand Forks and East Grand Forks school districts are already active in Compass. “This collaboration strengthens our workforce pipeline and ensures our high school graduates are aware of their future employment opportunities right here in the Grand Forks region.”
