ST. PAUL — Ron Schutz and incumbent Keith Ellison will face off in November for Minnesota attorney general.
Ellison has been Minnesota’s attorney general since 2019.
The role oversees legal work for 100 state agencies and boards and deals with thousands of legal files each year.
The attorney general also serves on the State Executive Council.
The attorney general, who is elected every four years, makes an annual salary of $190,000, as of July 1.
