Shared Heritage and Social Media can connect Hearts across SouthasiaAround 190 videos were received for the 2nd Southasian Commemoration of Doyens of Peace. The hybrid event involved the creation of videos on the theme ‘Digital Stages- Shared Heritage: Youth Connecting Southasia through Culture and Tech’, said Mazher Hussain of the Doyens of Peace South Asia. A unique feature was the co-creation of videos using technology to bring together teams from Bhutan, India and Pakistan on Digital Stages. Top videos of youth were live-streamed for the commemoration event and a 300-page eBook was released on the occasion, comprising videos created by youth and prominent Southasians for the event. The eBook was released by Lalita Ramdas and Rita Manchanda of India, Sheema Kermani of Pakistan, Omer Selab of Afghanistan, Maneesh Yadav of Nepal, Dema Lhamo of Bhutan and Lutfa Pathan of Bangladesh.
