Hartwood House Care Home is welcoming crews responding to New Forest fires with a home-cooked meal, a hot cup of coffee, and somewhere comfortable to sit and rest between call-outs. Monika Zytowiecka, general manager at Hartwood House, said: "Firefighters spend their days looking after and protecting our communities, and we wanted to find a practical way of looking after them in return. The gesture has touched residents, especially one who is the widow of a former firefighter. She said: "I know only too well the dedication and courage it takes to be a firefighter.
