The Chief Minister held detailed discussions with representatives of the Peeth on enhancing the spiritual dignity of Puri and ensuring the protection of the Peeth’s properties. The Chief Minister directed that the Arati site be beautified and the evening Arati be organised on a grander scale. Stressing the need for a permanent solution to the land-related problems of Gobardhan Peeth, the Chief Minister advised a thorough re-examination of the old land settlement records. Special steps will be taken for the security and conservation of the sacred samadhi sites of all previous Acharyas of Gobardhan Peeth. The state government remains committed to protecting the rich heritage of Gobardhan Peeth, the Chief Minister affirmed.
