The Lithuanian government approved proposals to expand existing counter-mobility measures and introduce new ones aimed at making it more difficult for a potential adversary to enter and move through Lithuanian territory. "Military counter-mobility is an important part of Lithuania’s defence preparedness. Under the government’s decision, Lithuania will establish new areas equipped with military counter-mobility engineering measures. The number of military counter-mobility engineering parks will also be increased to 50 locations, with the expanded program scheduled for completion by December 31, 2028.
