Azerbaijan showcases its monetary policy framework in Singapore

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has presented its monetary policy framework in Singapore.
According to the report, Azerbaijan was represented at the event by the Director of the CBA Monetary Policy Department, Azer Alasgarov, and the Leading Economist of the Research Department, Elmir Mukhtarov.
During the event, Alasgarov made a presentation on the topic "Monetary policy framework in Azerbaijan" and briefed on the work done in recent years to strengthen the interest rate channel in the transmission of monetary policy in the country and its results.
Issues related to the monetary policy framework of the CBA and the future of the national currency have remained one of the main areas on the institution's agenda in recent times.
Earlier, the Executive Director of the CBA, Rashad Mammadov, told Trend that the bank's monetary policy builds on a balanced and sustainable approach.
