Following a six-week trial at Birmingham Crown Court, a jury unanimously convicted Neil Jones and Tobiasz Kozlowski of murder and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm. "After he was subjected to that torture, his body is likely to have been dumped in a remote rural location. The prosecution said Mr Samel is believed to have been naked and seated when he was set alight. Mr Samel operated a unit in Elkington Street, Aston, Birmingham, where HM Revenue and Customs seized cigarettes on February 22, 2019. Kozlowski and Jones had previously admitted conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to falsely imprison before the trial began.
