Ministers are due to publish a delivery update to the replacing animals in science strategy later this year, alongside a set of key performance indicators. Cynthia Bullock, life sciences programme director at UK Research and Innovation, said the new funding was “accelerating the development and adoption of next generation human biology-based approaches that can improve drug discovery and development”.
